Crossing the Streams
The stream went off without a hitch! You can watch the Twitch video of the session here.
We raised a few hundred dollars in donations and had a great time doing it.
As is always the case with D&D, the throwaway NPC Darryl took on a life of his own; he had a near death experience that changed his whole outlook and became a valued travelling companion. Also, my character ended up entirely naked, but I'm almost certain it wasn't my fault this time.
I'm sure there will be additional charity games in the future and I'm very much looking forward to them.
A quick post this week, because I need to spend some time preparing for a bunch of things, including: a D&D charity stream!
On Friday morning, at approximately 7:00 AM AEST (Australian Eastern Standard Time) I'll be playing in a D&D campaign, streamed live on Twitch.
If you're even vaguely interested in watching me make a fool of myself doing something that I love doing, come watch.
Being a charity stream, if you're interested in donating, you can do that via Extra Life. As is commonly the case with this sort of stuff, you can even influence the game with your donations, so if you want to specifically make my life harder, you can!
I haven't been at Atlassian very long, but its been pretty awesome so far. Its hard to fault a place that lets me use some of my working hours to play D&D for charity.
